About Brian Abbott:
Summary of Experience
Mr. Abbott has over 25 years of project management, underwater engineering inspections, hydrographic surveys and acoustic imaging experience. He is the owner of Abbott Underwater Acoustics, L.L.C. He is an Engineer and HSE part 1 diver. He is also employed part time by Kongsberg-Mesotech as a special project person. This work includes but is not limited to training on Kongsberg-Mesotech equipment, Testing of new prototype equipment and projects from homeland security, bridge inspections, ports and harbors inspections, Teaching courses on acoustic systems i.e. Scanning Sonar’s, ROV systems, Side scan sonar, Multibeam system, AUV Systems, Building 3D structures underwater and cloud points underwater. Prior to starting AUWA, he was employed by several major engineering firms, where he worked on underwater inspections, bridge structures, port facilities and stream hydraulics. This work included the scour analysis on two major bridges, hydraulic sizing of new bridges, replacement bridges, bank stabilization on rivers and dam inspections throughout the western United States. Brian also participated in numerous sub structural inspections for Krech Ojard & Associates, Parson Engineering Science, Abbott Bridge Engineering and HNTB

About Vincent Harris:
Mr. Harris has over 30 years of experience as an Educator, I. T. Professional, and Search and Rescue Sonar Technician. After retiring as an educator Mr. Harris started NVHarris and Associates and developed this company into one of the premier software development companies in the Mobile area. NVHA has supplied database solutions to Hill and Brooks Coffee, Warranty Corporation, Brabner and Hollon, and Keyport Warehousing just to name a few.
In the year 2015 Impact 100 gave Daphne Search and Rescue a grant to purchase a Kongsberg Sector Scan Sonar System. As a member, his expertise in computer software let him emerge as the lead sonar technician. In his training for this position, he met Brian Abbott and they discussed the need for this type of application in the commercial environment in the Gulf Coast Area and Mr. Harris was brought on to bring the vast experience of Abbot Underwater Acoustics to this area.
